Peregrine Falcons

Peregrine Falcons are the fastest animals in the world! Adult Peregrine Falcons can reach speeds of 390 km/h. But they can only reach this speed in when they dive. These birds are found everywhere except New Zealand and the Arctic/ Antarctica.
At one point, Peregrine Falcons almost went extinct because of something called DDT. It was an insecticide. When a Peregrine Falcon digested it, a female would lay eggs with very thin shells. These birds are now making a comeback but can still be killed off. We need to protect these birds.
Why? Because they almost went extinct. They are okay now but they are still endangered.
